About VOCs

VOC Volatile Organic Compound

EAC Annual Emission Target

AER Annual Emission Reference

What are the VOCs, are we involved ?
Where is it possible to get informations ?

At the present time it is existing at least 10 000 official pages to be imperatively consulted to learn nothing about the VOCs.

VOCs and CO2, does that mean the same thing ?

We are not far away to think so. We tryed to make a short synthetic summary usefull for our application domain:the coils impregnation.

 Geneva Convention statements :

VOCs are a set of hydrocarbons coming from human activity able to produce photochemical pollutants in contact with nitrogen oxides and daylight.
Methane is not counted because it is harmeless for health and have little chemical reactivity.
The Geneva Convention defines VOCs like the other componants containing carbon and hydrogen, in which hydrogen can be partially or totaly replaced with halogens, sulphur or nitrogen, except the carbon oxides and carbonates. .
VOCs : volatile organic componants with a vaporization pressure
above or equal to 105Pa at 293,15°K
NMVOCs : non methanic organic volatile componants.
