Thermoplastics and Thermo-setting bonding wire
The thermo-setting bondings are substances whom shape is definitivey fixed consecuting a chemical reaction due to heat increase. This action can be operated according to 3 different ways :
Polymerisation involving links among monomers forming a tridimentional network.
Creation of a tridimentional network tying the chains either in a direct way (for example under irradiation) or in an undirect way (under some substances action).
Going through an intermediate state of a small tridimensional network before reticulation.(For example: Thermo-setting bonding moldering powders.)
In all cases reaction is irreversible: for example a subsequent heating action does not involve any softening, but more or less important link ruptures can appear according to temperature .(burning damages)
Examples: ( epoxides, melanin, phenoplast, non saturated polyesters, urea, formalin.)
The large range of different products is consecutive to the fact each designation is corresponding to a a group of substances with different polymerization rates. (monomers proportion, monomers features, type of production process, additives, etc...)
Operating mode is essential.
